Heaved bricks, roots, and winters

Street trees and brick sidewalks are both DC treasures, and they fight constantly. Roots lift pavers; freeze-thaw rocks them loose; a few seasons later there's a two-inch ledge waiting for someone's toe. We lift the affected area, regrade the setting bed (working around roots, not butchering them), and relay the same bricks tight and level.

Matched replacement brick goes in where originals are broken — color and size right, so the repair blends into the historic walk instead of patching it with whatever's cheap.

Walks, aprons, and private paths

Beyond the public-space brick, we repair flagstone and concrete walkways, lead walks from stoop to street, side passages, and patio paving. Same approach everywhere: fix the base, reuse the material, match what can't be reused.

Safety and liability, handled

A heaved walk in front of your property is a liability you don't want and a citation you don't need. We make it safe, photograph the finished grade, and leave you with paperwork showing the hazard was corrected.
