Gutter Cleaning
Clogged gutters wreck
more than gutters.
When gutters clog, water goes everywhere it shouldn't: behind fascia, down brick, into basements. We clean them properly and tell you what we saw up there.
What a clogged gutter costs (eventually)
Overflowing gutters soak fascia boards until they rot, streak and saturate brick until joints fail, and dump hundreds of gallons against your foundation — hello, damp basement. In winter, clogged gutters become ice dams that pry shingles up from the edge. A $200 cleaning prevents repairs with commas in them.
DC's oaks and maples guarantee the clog; the only question is whether it gets cleared before the damage starts.
What our cleaning includes
Hand-clearing the full gutter run, flushing every downspout until it runs free, checking pitch, hangers, and seams while we're up there, and bagging the debris instead of leaving it on your beds. You get photos of the gutters after — and of anything we spotted that needs attention, with zero obligation attached.
When to clean
Twice a year is right for most DC homes: late fall after the leaves finish, and spring after the seed drop. Heavy tree cover may need a mid-fall pass. Or install micro-mesh guards and demote cleaning to an occasional check — we do that too.
