Roofing

Every roof in DC,
done right.

Residential and commercial roofing across the District, from full tear-offs and replacements to new construction. One family-run crew that knows DC's housing stock block by block.

Roofing for how DC is actually built

The District isn't one kind of roof. The same square mile holds flat rowhouse roofs behind parapet walls, slate mansards on Victorians, shingle gables in Brookland, and commercial low-slope over storefronts. We work on all of it — flat TPO and modified bitumen, slate, asphalt shingle, cedar shake — and we've done it for generations.

That matters because every system fails differently. A roofer who only does suburban shingle work will miss what kills rowhouse roofs: clogged scuppers, parapet cracks, and ponding. We won't.

Replacement, repair, or coating — we'll tell you straight

Not every aging roof needs replacing. If a repair or a reflective coating buys you ten honest years, we'll say so and quote it that way. If the deck is soft or the membrane is past saving, we'll show you photos of why. We'd rather lose the bigger ticket than sell you work your roof doesn't need.

Our approach

Licensed and insured (DC License #410519000552), full fall protection, tarps and magnet sweeps so your property is cleaner than we found it. We photograph everything — before, during, after — and walk you through it all when we're done.

Roofing questions, answered

Most DC homes take one to three days depending on size and system. A rowhouse flat roof is usually done in a day or two; a steep slate or shake roof can run longer. We give you the schedule in writing with the estimate.
Yes. We roof rowhouses, detached homes, multifamily buildings, and commercial low-slope across the District — TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, shingle, slate, and shake.
We handle the paperwork where it's required and we know how DC's historic districts treat visible roof materials like slate and metal. You won't be left guessing about compliance.
